In praise of the Padres organization, PETCO park, and the local fans ...
just saw the opening pitches on MLB for games in MIA and DET ... yes it is a Thursday day game BUT both parks are "empty" ... Padres may not get a full ballpark but way way more fans in the stands for mid-week day games.

I can see it now….Shohei Ohtani will be the first player ever to start an All Star game as a pitcher and also leadoff as the DH.

Truly though, the guy is ridiculous. The game has never seen anything like him and most probably never will again. Every single time he steps to the plate, or every fifth day when he takes the mound, the whole baseball loving world( not to mention every Japanese citizen worldwide!) stops and watches.

Jacob Misorowski may have something to say about this but the guy making the lineup is that little twerp up the freeway so…

Not sure why this isn’t getting more attention.
Jacob Wilson of the A’s just broke through consecutive errorless game streak at shortstop at 111 games.
I’ve seen almost nothing about it

Its important for PHI to fall back more, as I believe they hold the head to head season match up over us. Still tied with the Dbacks, so thats left TBD with one more series against them the last series of the year.
