Brent Rooker is going off for the A's.

3 Homeruns in the last 2 games.

7 hits and "9" rbi in his last 4 games

I knew it!

lol

I'm jumping on the Rays bandwagon 🙂

What a crazy ass way to end a perfect game and the only hit LAD got today... unreal

Watch Smyly land on the 10 day IL after landing on his shoulder a la Musgrove earlier in the season at AAA...

Estury going to be a solid mlb player.. wishing him good success.. his K rate is pretty solid for a kid that was striking out a lot just 2 seasons ago

Logan O'Hoppe:

"You wait your whole life, and you get here. And you get a taste at the end of last year. Then you work even harder. You get a taste of hopefully what the whole year has in store. I think that's the toughest part to deal with."

Really sucks for the kid... likely to miss 4-6 months

33 yr old Drew Maggi got called up by the Pirates the other day after over 1,100 minor league games.

Will likely only be up for a few days while Bryan Reynolds is on the bereavement list....here's hoping he gets a ML hit.

Especially because PIT is playing the Dudgers.

The Pirates are a great story....I was a huge Pirates fan in the late 60's early 70's because I was a Clemente fan before the Padres. But I just can't see how this keeps going for them.

It's a shame too for the fans...although if they have a good year(maybe even make the playoffs) would that be good or bad for Pirate fans?

The owner would be vindicated for not spending money finally...he probably never would in the future  if they even sniffed the Playoffs with this current team.

I see them falling out of contention within 30 days...they just don't have the pitching.

I mean.....Vince Velazquez is their #4 Starter for Gwynns' sake

Happens every year … some true non-contender sprints out of the gate then fades in the back stretch (June swoon) while some expected playoff team stumbles out of the blocks  and ends up sprinting down the stretch to make the playoffs. 162 games provide a lot of twists and turns.

Even though I know this from over a half century of watching this game … I still find it hard closing my mind to results over the first 1-2 months and over-react.

Bryan Reynolds signs long term with PITT. Good for the fans in PITT.
