Quote from Brian Connelly on May 23, 2021, 10:47 amYikes. Another former Pad not exactly lighting it up... Brewers basically giving up on Urias @ SS by trading for Willy Adames
Milwaukee cut bait on Orlando Arcia earlier this season after giving the former top prospect myriad chances in recent years. The trade of Arcia to the Braves was intended to create everyday opportunities for Luis Urias at shortstop, but the 23-year-old wasn’t able to handle the position from a defensive standpoint. Urias has already made nine errors in just 310 innings at shortstop and unsurprisingly has negative ratings in just about every defensive metric. Were Urias hitting up to his capability, perhaps the Brewers could’ve stomached the errors, but he’s managed only a .205/.317/.359 slash in 140 plate appearances.
Adames isn’t hitting much himself in 2021, but he had a huge 2020 season and a strong year in 2018 as well. He’s also a very sound defender at his position, evidenced by above-average marks in Defensive Runs Saved (12), Ultimate Zone Rating per 150 games (1.6) and Outs Above Average (3) over the past three seasons.

Quote from Brian Connelly on May 23, 2021, 10:56 amBut here's one doing well.... unfortunately getting the opportunity due to an oblique injury for the Franimal...
Franmil Reyes has been diagnosed with an internal oblique strain, and will be sidelined for the next 5-7 weeks. Owen Miller’s contract will be selected from Triple-A. A third-round draft pick for the Padres in 2018, Miller came to Cleveland as part of the Mike Clevinger trade package last August. The Illinois State product has been dominant in his first taste of Triple-A baseball this year, as Miller has hit .406/.457/.609 with two home runs in 70 PA.

NEVER thought Urias was a SS!
Brewers are foolish to have thought he was. Great for us!

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 28, 2021, 9:01 amAnyone know what happened to the SDUT forum?
I’ve been reading it because it would never allow any new subscribers....which I thought was weird?
Now it appears to be gone completely.
Was hoping if this was the case some of those guys would find their way here?

Just went to post it myself!
Extremely clever of Baez and extremely boneheaded of the Buc 1st baseman.
Fun to see though. It's why baseball is the best game out there.

Quote from MrPadre19 on May 28, 2021, 1:07 pmI think Baez is getting too much credit on this one.
Seen posts saying "the most exciting player in baseball"!
If the firstbaseman doesn't have a brain cramp and just walks over to the bag and steps on it .......inning over.
All Baez did was stop and turn around...Will Craig created the rest himself.
Oof...he will "forever" be part of MLB bloopers.
