He has always had the talent. The only question is can he make it work at the major league level. This year was a test for him. It looks like he passed. If he can keep this up at AA next year he will be ready for his last test by the end of the year-mlb.

Well, it was a tough year ALL year for him... but he did get hot at the very end & in playoffs where it mattered most!

I would like to see 1-2 months in AA where he's "on" like this hot streak, but think at that point he might go up to Padres...

.... think it's sooner than end of year

Considering his strong final month and that EP is a hitters haven(build on this season and confidence)  I agree that Trammell starts 2020 in AAA.

But they don't promote him for at least a few months if at all.

It will depend on the major league teams' needs and level of contention.

A lot of “if” conditions that will impact when Trammel is called to the ML ... sort of impossible to accurately predict. Clearly the current Padres OFers will not be a roadblock to his talent upside. Actually, only Myers has a high probability of being around late in 2020 .... Jankowski? Martini? Margot? Cordero? Naylor? Renfroe? For the remaining OF slots ... they are not a high bar to hurdle for a talent such as Trammel.

but again ... a lot of “ifs”.

@BaseballAmerica
They won a Texas League title.
13 of the Padres' best 30 prospects suited up for them. Oh, and they sold out their ballpark 40 TIMES in their return to Amarillo.
The SodPoodles are our Minor League Organization of the Year.
