Looking at the top teams in the NL, all are at least 10-12 games above .500 at home. We're 2!

Now, our away record is great! We can beat teams at their place- anybody, anywhere.

If we can just figure out how to be dominant at home(??????), we're the best team in the NL.

Winning on the road will come in handy if we are a Wild Card team.

But let’s win the Division anyway.

Yes, let's break the 10 year division run of the Dogers!

We've won 4 of the last 5 games at home, so maybe we are already reversing that trend.  Consider this was significant because it was against the Dodgers and our most recent nemesis, the Colorado Rockies.  Every game is important, road or home, so let's just keep winning.  Go Padres!

dodger fans have got to be feeling it about now.

For the first time in years, we actually have a pennant race in the NL West.  Besides the Padres, Arizona has been equally hot and SF's record over the last 10 games is just one win less.  We'll have to look up at the end of August and see which teams have the best chance to advance to the playoffs - if we can get a healthy and productive Musgrove followed by a healthy and productive Tatis, I like our chances.  I like them even more if Darvish can come back and bring his leadership to the SP staff but always, family first.

Thanks for thinking of me. On a trip Singapore to Bali … not always connected and 15 hours off SD time. From what I see you guys are handling the team brilliantly! Just pure fun for two weeks.

Padres RP earning a lot of flight miles between San Diego and El Paso!  Reynolds up today and Brito down after a much needed from him yesterday.  Cosgrove was eligible and had been throwing well but pitched on Saturday so he was not in the equation to be brought up.  Jacob still not enough time down in the minors to be brought back but sure to come back as soon as he is eligible.  With Musgrove to be activated soon, might be a very short stay on the MLB roster for Reynolds so I hope he performs as well as Brito did yesterday, if called upon.

Jacob and Cosgrove will provide good 1 inning depth in the future, while Vasquez and Brito can go a little longer, if needed, depending on how Musgrove fares in his return to the hill.  Like Jacob, Vasquez and Brito will have to wait out time in EP before being eligible be promoted so for these guys it won't be for another couple of weeks.
