We really need our offense to be able to score more than 3 runs a game more than once a week.

Ask and you shall received ..6 good for you?

Let's see if we can do it "more than once a week"

🙄🙄🙄🙄

Well...we couldn't get two in a row...let's get two in a series and take the game today.

We really need a 1-2 week offensive outburst leading to an 8-2 type stretch.

This win 1 lose 2 win 2 lose 1 stuff is agonizing.

So where is Campusano?

Was supposed to be just a 10 day thumb sprain...it's been 3+ weeks.

Last I heard he was taking some swings and doing some "light" catching.

The narrative was that the Padres wanted to really slow play the recovery timetable ... wanting to wait until they were fully sure his thumb can stand the repeated beating of catching. Basically the long view that they want him back fully prepared to play the rest of the season without re-injuring the thumb and being out another extended period.

No rush with Nola behind the plate. 🙂

Nola behind the plate is why I was asking.

We need someone that can at least hit .220

We're just getting zero offense from Nola,Grisham,Kim and Cronenworth right now.

This offense has been SO frustrating.

6 hits and 3 runs consistently is not what we expected and is not  going to get us into the playoffs.

As I typed this Grisham comes to the plate with bases loaded and the game on the line and proceeds to watch a perfect pitch for strike 1!

Right down the middle.

Ugh!

Tatis is the only hitter being aggressive.

Everyone else seems like they prefer to be down in the count cause they all take perfect strikes to start the AB and then are at the pitchers mercy.

Simply don't understand it.

These guys aren't Tony Gwynn.

They aren't better hitters with 2 strikes on them

Going into today game the Padres were dead last in hitting with RISP ... hard to imagine with the reputation of the hitters on this club.

Note that Melvin in his post-game really ripped into the team with the media ... lack of tenacity for a full game.

I've not been this frustrated in a while.

Not sure which is worse...waiting around all day for the game, staying up till midnight just to go to sleep frustrated with another loss after a half assed effort or losing early in the day, the same way, and being pissed off all afternoon and evening?

3 runs off 6 hits is like a broken record for this team.
