The moves AJ has made(or hasn’t made) certainly doesn’t seem like the moves of someone expecting to not have Tatis in the OF when first eligible.

We all thought we needed a starting corner OF even “with” expecting Tatis back in April.

AJ still has not signed or traded for one.Carpenter is not that guy so…..🤷🏻‍♂️

With out without Tatis another legit ML veteran OF is needed for the roster.

I have zero faith in any of the current bench options holding a corner OF slot for an extended period … Azocar is the best option because of defense but hard to tell where his bat will be in his second season.

Wil Myers would answer a few questions.. people thinking he will ink a 1/6-8 mil deal.. certainly ok with that

I could live with that … just like him on the team. In this era, $8MM for a hitter normally in the wRC+ of 100-110 (slightly above average) who can play a good defensive 1B and corner OF with some power fits both the defensive needs and is actually good for a “9th hitter” in the line-up. If Tatis is back, Myers could be a good platoon with Carpenter.

Rucinski to the A's and Drury to the Angels.

Drury 2/17.. $8,5 per.. at least he is close to SD if we need a deadline deal should transition easier this time around

I guess we are getting to the point were the remaining FA are getting less than initial projections. Drury was estimated $30MM/3 … $10MM AAV … so considerably less at $17MM/2.

Profar was projected about the same as Drury … wonder if this suggests a similar drop for Profar and maybe making him more appealing to SD?

Mlbtraderumors suggests Pirates could/would trade JT B.... I look at him and his ramp up in IP and his consistent BB/9 and SO/9 #'s .. and add Petco suppression and that ERA is around 3.85 in San Diego... AJP go get this guy...

Keep throwing them out there Henry…bound to get one right soon!

I got Lopez Rule V to SD right ...I want to make it 2

Rucinski 1/$3mil with a 2nd yr $5mil option...

Offer Davies that and let's roll... Zach made just $1.5 last yr.. Lets Go!...

Rucinski cheap cheap..

Did Profar make a mistake walking away from 2/18 (option 2nd yr)????.... in SD?

Drury to ANA, 2 years for $17.5M

Still unsigned

Voit (chemistry and Pop) DH/1B

Myers (El Gallo/Chemistry and versatility) DH/1B/OF and 3B in a pinch

Grossman - speedy OF with solid bat..struggled in 2022..no pop

Peralta - very good platoon lefty bat with + defense.. cant hit LHP though

Profar - AJPs son (in the USA) pretty sure they have an agreement in place if his market drops below $10per.. which appears to be the case...

Any one of these adds would be welcomed in SD... ... Wil/Voit and Profar were all traded for by AJP so obviously he likes them..or liked them in the past...

Personally Myers might be "the right fit" for us both in what looks like a 1/$6 - $8 deal.. Voit might be the cheapest 1/$4-$5 and did produce the 3rd best OPS as a Padre in 2022...
