2023 offseason

Nimmo back to the Mets for 162m over 8 years. The Mets tax bill is going to be more than a handful of teams payrolls.

Just saw a Mariners Podcast where they think because we are over the luxury tax we may want to trade Blake Snell or Fernando  Tatis. All kinds of speculation about how they can take advantage of us……again.

They obviously don’t know anything about Peter Seidler.

lol

Think Seidler has enough ink left for another $35M per season for those two??

I think so! The man loves spending money (he's said so himself). He is absolutely committed to delivering a championship to this city and building an indelible, long term fan base. Plus, if you're gonna play at the very top, elite level of payroll, it seems silly to stop a few million short of what you need to put a complete product on the field. I truly believe that we're still in on Senga. I also believe that DH might be one of the few places we can find a true upgrade at a relatively affordable price.

We already have an offer in on Senga. It was supposedly the highest AAV offer he had gotten and for 5 years. It hasn't been withdrawn. If Preller adds a 6th year it's done. Then it would just be Brantley. Why not?

Brantley really extends the line up. Senga takes us 6-7 deep for the rotation.

Still need a little bench help, and think they still have 2 trades in there somewhere.

Aint my money, spend away!!!

Looks like Senga is a real possibility.

I’m seeing Senga and Gallo rumors gaining traction.

🤷🏻‍♂️
