2022 Season

Yup just concentrate on playing the best baseball to get hot going into the postseason and gain confidence/momentum. The 2 series vs the Cardinals and Dodgers could be two series that really change everything for the team’s moxie heading into the postseason

I hope this off day didn't come at a bad time for Soto.

Was just getting his groove.

Get the win tonight against a Division leading team, with Clev on the mound, and I'll feel a lot better about this team

Basically we need 4 wins from the Rockies and Giants and 4 wins from the Cardinals White Sox and Dodgers. Considering 12 of 15 at home to close the season I really like our chances. Snell at home and not in Colorado with 3 starts all at home to end the season is a plus and one of them being the dodgers (aside from his last start) also a plus. Also with the day off yesterday and day off before final home stand of season. Darvish should pitch first game of Rockies to ensure he gets one game in the wild card round as well as 3 games before end of season.

Also the White Sox May be eliminated by the time we play them.

The Dodgers may rest some players.

I like that all 3 NL WC teams are playing opponents with something still on the line for them as well.

MIL is playing NYM tonight, and they are fighting for the division title still.

PHI is playing TOR tonight, and they still have a mathematical chance at the division, plus trying to hold onto the #1 WC spot.

While it appears that STL might have the NL Central virtually locked up, and dont have much of a chance to beat out ATL/NYM for the #2 spot.

If the Padres just go 7 - 7 the rest of the way …. MILW has to go 12 - 2 to bump the Padres (unless PHIL continues to struggle and they get to be the team out)

No lock but a good position with 14 games to go.

Basically with every Mil loss the Padres can lose two and stay ahead.

The Padres are 56-31 (.644) in games José Azocar plays.

The Padres are 26-35 (.426) in games José Azocar does not play
