Not worried about the 26 man moves.. but the 40???
An open spot on the 40 man … so no issue with Johnson off the 60 day IL.
IF for some reason they need to add Liberato … maybe Scott to 60 day IL or DFA Gallagher who has no minor league options for 2023 (probably was only insurance for 2022 anyway).
Sounds as though Drury will not be activated for this weekend as his concussion symptoms linger.

Quote from MrPadre19 on September 11, 2022, 5:21 amAfter today the Brewers next 8 games are against the Cardinals,Yankees and Mets.
Ours isn’t much easier with Mariners,D-Backs and Cardinals.
I think we’re gonna need Juan Freakin Soto to start hitting…..

Quote from MrPadre19 on September 12, 2022, 5:43 amWe need the poor D Backs to show up for our games instead of the one that's been showing up the last month or so.

Quote from Henry Silvestre on September 12, 2022, 6:41 am73-52 21 games over .500 vs everyone else
4-12 vs LAD.. 2-4 in Sept.. *an improvement (vs 2-8 before Sept)
Bottomline... get the 6th slot and hope Braves/Phillies or Mete bounce LAD out of post season 👍 🙏 😀
*We are 11-4 vs Dbacks in 2022

Quote from fenn68 on September 12, 2022, 11:30 amHitting with runners in scoring position “seems” to be an issue with the Padres … by my eye test which often is clouded with unreasonable expectations. So looked at some player / league stats to see just how bad the Padres are.
1. Team BA .255 ranked 15th in MLB (league average .254) and SLG .423 ranks 14th. So, basically as a team the Padres are not good or bad but “average” … and average is NOT playoff quality.
2. Individuals as Padres:
.351. Machado (no surprise and in the top 20 in MLB)
.304. Myers … but limited time due to injury
.283. Alfaro
.277. Kim
.276. Profar
.276. Cronenworth
.258. Grisham
LEAGUE .254
250. Drury
.229. Nola
.216. Bell
.182. Soto
.111. Azocar.
Note on the dear departed: Voit (.219); Hosmer (.213); Beaty (.143) BUT Mazara (.351).
We can see a bad situation with the supposed impact bats for the middle of the order surrounding Machado. The OBP guys at the top of the order can get on as much as they want … just pitching around Machado and no one scores.

Our GM has built a dysfunctional team. It's fairly obvious. Difficult to change the team, much easier to change GM.

2 factors at play here...#1 we are missing this dude .292 .369 .596 .965.
#2 we play 81 at Petco so + 5%-10% (if not more) points at least and all the sudden we are a lot better..same with Colorado -5% to 10%(if not more)..
A better measure would be Road #'s where do we rank there??

This is a BS excuse. LAD just came in over the weekend and scored what, 23 runs, with what 8 HRs. Homers and runs can be scored at Petco. SD needs to put on their big girl panties and hit the ball. No excuses will appease me.
