I would be happy if it showed up tonight.....the last week is history and tomorrow is a maybe......Today is the only game that matters and that is where the focus needs to be.

I think the biggest reason why last night’s win was BIG, was it gave the Padres team much needed confidence knowing that they can beat the Dodgers in LA. A series win would be equally, if not, even bigger. The offense is finally coming around the past week and the pitching seems to be ironing out what was a rough stretch for them.

Yes,being patient and working the count and taking walks are all good things,but when you have your 2-6 hitters working walks with guys on base you end up score 1-4 runs and losing.

We need hits to score runs and waiting till the bases are loaded to be aggressive is too late.

Against good teams we need to drive runs in to win…IMO we are way too passive in run scoring situations other than one hitter…..and waiting on Manny to drive in all our runs isn’t going to win many games.

It worked last night 3 for 9 with RISP.. scored 4 *and maybe more if not for umpire call 3rd strike on a ball way inside..we are #2 in MLB in runs scored on road games.. I mean yes we all want more runs But #2 in baseball = our approach is working.. Now we come to Petco.. where we need to score more..but Petco suppresses everything ..so we just need to score +1 more than our opponents do.. This is how RedSox won it a few yrs ago.. BUT we need Drury back soon.. our lineup is not the same without him in the 4 or 5th spot.. Looks like Soto broke out of his slump.. which is good..

Didn't they show some statistic during the game that we've been the worst defensive team in MLB the past 2 months?

Obviously Manny is Manny but everyone else has to dig deep and get back to basics.

The first two months of the season we had, not coincidentally, the best rotation AND the best defense. Subsequently, D stinks and we're sub .500 since 3rd week of June. And with as bad as our O plays most of the time, can't have 2 of the 3 being weaknesses if you plan on winning.
