I prefer St Louis in the first round…even though if we end up in Atl. I may be able to go.
Already informed “my boss” if we have a game in Atl. I will be going at any cost.
But,I think getting through the Cards would be the easier route to winning at least the first round.
After that…..🤷🏻♂️

Tbh If we get hot and start clicking with RISP I don't think any team is as scary as ours... we have made the adjustments *added big time power and SLG .. at the deadline .. if it clicks this offense is legit scary *even without FTJ... Just a matter of getting Hot and staying Hot when the time comes

Profar btw is #4 in BBs in all of baseball with 60

He's 4th in the NL. Soto meanwhile is first in all of baseball with 108. Judge is second with 69.

The BB and long ABs is why the Padres like Profar in the lead-off spot ... plus he can run.
In a bad slump now ... but his season's body of work is sneaky good.

I'd still move Kim vs LHP to #1 today and bat Profar 9th.. just to change it up a bit for Jurickson..worked for Bell yesterday.. and Kim rakes vs lhp

The best thing about Sundays win was how boring the 9th inning was . What a relief to see a 1 - 2- 3 9th . I'd forgotten what that looks like . Maybe we have our closer .

It appears that Kim over the last few months has secured his role as the starting SS going forward ... his defense is elite and he is hitting.
In retrospect, 2021 was a year for him to adapt from a super star in Korea to a MLB player ... and a good one. Just another reason not to "overreact" to short term observations.
Padres will have a critical call on where to position Tatis when he returns in 2023 ... CF seems the most obvious but that is an outsider's view and no idea the factors the Padres consider.
