2022 Season

PreviousPage 5 of 87Next

Melvin says Taylor Rogers will be the closer to start the season. Settles that debate / speculation right out of the blocks.

Getting the sense that Melvin likes to create some stability among the players ... they know their roles and just need to execute.

Of course he did……cause I drafted Suarez in my “Deep” Fantasy Baseball league.

Luckily Holds still count.

From Tim Dierkes

Preseason predictions are hard to get right. Last year, only one of six MLBTR writers correctly predicted even one of the teams to reach the World Series, when Mark Polishuk called for the Dodgers to take out the Astros. We whiffed on all the major player awards, with the exception of Randy Arozarena for AL ROY.

Maybe we'll do better this year. As we prepare for Kyle Hendricks' first pitch to Kolten Wong, here are our MLB picks for 2022!

Even a blind  squirrel  finds an acorn every  now and then.

OMG!

I stayed up for this?

I have to ask…why did they pitch to Beer after the WP?

I mean….walk him and load the bases to set up the force at home and the DP seemed so obvious?

Wow what a perfectly Padres way to start a season.

Not gonna believe me, but when I saw Suarez coming I saw this one coming, not because I dont think he will be good throughout the season, he could, should, but because he was ask to close a game on his MLB debut,  that just wasnt fair to the guy, that once again goes to show us just how difficult it is to close games at the MLB level.

You'd have expected this kind of stupidity from Green or Tingler, but Melvin?

Man, all you guys who wondered if the play on the field was being dictated by the guys upstairs, might have been right all along. A guy with Melvin's baseball experience sets that up to get 2, give your team a chance to keep competing.

What an outing by Darvish though! He looked GREAT!

Why did that feel like I was watching a movie I'd seen before ?

Oh well.....162-0 isn't going to happen 🙂
