Mets will start 3 RH pitchers, so we'll probably going to get a good look at Mazara and whether he has anything to contribute. Carrasco and Walker don't give up many HRs, so we'll have to be very patient and hope that the Met bullpen was overworked versus the Dodgers. Hopefully, Grisham, Cronenworth, Hosmer, Profar and Mazara will make a difference from the left side to supplement Machado and whoever else fills out our line-ups. Should be a real battle against Lindor, Alonso and Marte - hope we have very loud and supportive crowds at Petco for this very important series.

Any guesses as to when Tatis, Jr. will return to the line-up? Because he's the kind of hitter that can fall out of bed and get hard contact on the ball, don't think there will be much "spring training" time in the minors, if any. The earliest I can see is maybe the weekend series in Colorado, 17-19 June. Realistically, however, probably will be sometime in the last homestand of the month of June, 20-26 June. Need him to be fully healed, so I would proceed with caution if any adverse feedback from swinging the bat. If it's July, then it's July.

Nice bounce back win last night, go get the series win tonight and make a statement against another one of the better teams in ML baseball.
While many on here panicked after the STL series, SD has bounced back well, taking 3 of 4 (should have been a sweep by SD) from MIL, and the chance to take 2 of 3 from the NYM. In the last 10 games in the NL West, only SD and SF have played .500 ball. In the same time frame, the Duds have gone 4-6, and we are only 1.5 game out of 1st in the NL West.
We have a great SP staff, some really good RP pieces, and an offense that is doing what they need to do to win.
Plus, with the RPs due back from IL, and Tatis, these moves will be similar to making trades with out any cost.

Next 20 games are going to be big! A good chance to go 14-6 or better and go 8 games or better over 500 before facing the dodgers. That’s my prediction. 49-28 going into the dodgers series. Anyone else have any predictions?

Weren't they doing another scan this week? If he's good, then 3 weeks, which puts him back in the lineup end of the month.
I'd actually be happy to see him after the break- no need to rush.

I'll say AT LEAST 15-5!
The bats are starting to heat up, and our rotation, best in the business, is going on 6 days rest. I expect to see our starters( except Snell, of course!) going deep every game.
Should be fun to watch.

I read that they pushed the scans back a few more days. I also saw that Fernando said that he didn't think it would take him very long to get his timing back.

I heard that too. I think the reasoning is they don’t need to rush him back considering how well they are doing, they want to limit radiation and as a result want to give him as much time to be as sure as they can the next scan will be clean.
15-5 means 3 wins every 4 games which is a lot even playing mediocre teams. Granted, if Bo Mel can get them to continue to keep the pedal to the floor, it should be more than possible considering what they did against top teams.

For those who think it’s best to trade Snell this year, there is a big issue as his salary goes up to $16 Mil next year plus a $1 Mil trade assignment bonus. It’s in Pads best interest to develop Snell this season so he can become a frontline starter again so they can decide whether to keep him or trade him this upcoming off-season on their own terms and not become a bad contract where Pads have to take a weak return plus pay majority of his contract to a trade partner.

I am "not" a conspiracy theorist....however,am i the only one wondering if MLB is manipulating the balls?
It was speculated they were swapping them out on nationally televised games.I'm wondering about individual ballparks?
I'm sure it's nothing...but for our amusement.
Matt Carpenter was released after hitting 7 HR's in his last 180 games.....180.
Since joining the NYY he has 6 HR's in his last "10" games.....10.
Yes Yankee stadium rewards LH hitters....but I watched his last few and they were HR's in any Park...though not sure about all 6.
By the way 5 are at Home.....1 away.
Also,obviously Judge is powerful and a power hitter.Not surprised he leads MLB in HR.
But the fact he leads by a wide margin "and" Matt Carpenter is suddenly Roger Maris both with the Yanls?
Like I said......probably nothing...but it begs the question at least.
