Padres' pick Drake Fellows starting game #1 in the College World Series for Vanderbilt.
3 inning impressions ... looks good with a 92-95 FB with movement. Louisville scoreless.
The draft write-up liked his stuff but questioned his consistency .... based on 3 innings he looks like a good selection in the 6th round.

Watching Fellows through 5 and seeing some of the graphics on him ... seems as though his slider is the most effective pitch ... more so than this sinker. Maybe his future is that of a RP with that slider if he does not pull it together as a SP.

Well Vandy wins and Fellows has a good game (except for some hiccups in one inning that he pitched out of) .... Louisville is a good hitting team.
He should get one or two more appearances as Vandy progresses.

Where can I find the 24 guys who've signed so far with Pads? I know the 9 in top 10 rounds + 24-Lomack, 26- Pierce Jones, 29- Nunez.

As far as I can tell, 15 unsigned draft picks:
3 College: Fellows #6 (in CWS); Feole; Stronach. Understand Fellows but not sure the issues with the other two.
2 Junior College
10 HS
So, with a lot of "excess" pool money expect some interesting interplay to get the best mix signed.
Did hear that the Padres may want Fellows signed first to lock down the "excess" pool money before going forward with the over slot signs (should be in about a week).
Clearly Head is an over slot demand and Hampton is just big bonus money and no idea (if willing to sign) what the other picks demand. A fair chance that the demands of Head / Hampton combined are greater than the "excess" so at some point a call has to be made on one which in turns frees up the rest of the money to attack the others.
A lot of moving parts in play.
