Love Shildt going to Scott there. I've long argued for using your best arms in the biggest situations over holding them for the later innings.

Official word from the team is that Musgrove is dealing with right elbow tightness. That's a little nerve wracking given all of the problems the elbow has given him this season.

I hope they don't put him on the IL They can just go day-to day. His next start would not be for at least another 6 days.

The fact Joe was ready to make the next pitch and Higgy is the one that called out the staff makes me think it was a drop in velocity thing more than a pain thing.
Which would be good news.
