Musgrove does not need to go on the IL, especially if the Padres win the NLDS in 3 games. IMO, Musgrove should be day to day. The Padres have one day off between the 2nd and 3rd games and  will have 1- 4 days off between the end of the of the NLDS until the NLCS. So, he may not be needed until October 17th, 15 days from his injury. That is 3 days longer than being on a 10-day IL. So, we should not count him out yet.
