I just realized I may be making this cross country trip to ST and won't get to see Darvish,Soto,Manny,Xander etc due to the WBC.
Ugh!

Probably get to see Merrill playing some SS though, so you have that going for you. Which is NICE!!

Ok so I need some help.
Trying to decide what week to go to Spring Training.
The WBC is messin me up.
Anyone know when our players will be away from Peoria for the WBC?
Will they be there all the way up until the WBC starts in other words?
Also,I prefer to go a few days before the games start so I can watch just practice for a few days and then catch a game or two before I leave.
If I do this...are the back fields accessible to the public at all times and will the minor league players be there already as well?
When do the minor league players report in other words?
Help!
I've been one time before in 2015 when we had just traded for Kemp and all the others....but no WBC and i never made it to the back fields....hence the questions.
Booster maybe you have all the answers as a local?

Probably a couple days before the 1st couple games would be safest
WBC is like Mid March so likely they practice 3 days to a week before together..and then play..

Pitchers and catchers that are participating in the WBC are set to report on February 13th. Position players that are participating report on the 16th. Non WBC pitchers and catchers are also due on the 16th with full squad workouts starting on the 21st. The WBC is from March 8th to the 21st. I assume guys will report to their teams well before the start, but I don't know if there are set dates yet. How long they stay should depend on how their teams do.
I'm not sure how all the backfields stuff works. It seems like they don't stop people from coming to watch, but they don't really broadcast what's happening on any given day.
