So what does he do?
He does it again w/ Machado on the exact same bloop single with the exact same result on the very next batter.

We get 4 hits, zero runs. Mets get 2 hits, 2 runs. Ain't that a kick in the nuts🫤
Be interesting to see how the team responds this next inning. Gotta get at least one of those runs back.

Someone did not read the scouting report.
One out in the 1st ... not a particularly fast runner in Cronenworth ... not seeing the upside of sending him with Merrill coming up. If it were a faster runner instead of Manny on the next hit ... maybe ... but Manny is slow ... also not a good gamble in the 1st.
Now Ewing throws out Bogaerts! Less of an issue here ... but Bogaerts is not fast then again it was 2 outs.

NO WAY should Bogaerts have been sent! That was a sharply hit ball. He had zero chance to score.
Stammen should pull him from his post. That's pathetic.

5 hits….2 BB’s and a hit batter in two innings and only score 1

That's it! No one else in the group has wheels. That's inexcusable at this point in the season to send all these dogs home. Seriously consider pulling him off the field, make up a story about his cat dying or something, having a bad day, etc.
Mclean is getting racked....and we've got 1 run? That has to be an MLB first- 3 guys gunned at the plate in the first 2 innings?
Totally inexcusable.
