Fernando pretty much beat the Mets by himself last night.

Tatis, Jr. and Merrill are capable of having these kind of games, where they can carry the entire team offensively and defensively. It's nice to know they will be Padres for many years to come and my grandkids can see them in their prime. Recently, Taty has shown that loose explosive swing he had when he first came up, before he underwent surgery on his shoulders. It's good to see him smiling and laughing - brings a lot of energy and spirit to the club. Let's win the series! GO PADRES!!!

It was not that long ago that getting 6 innings out of any starter was a surprise ... now not only 6 innings but 6 quality innings. Now it is up to the offense to capitalize on the SP.

King did his job ... offense just isn't clicking against Stock et al.

King was outstanding today. Offense had opportunities but could not get it done.
Machado is 7th in MLB in GIDPs Stammen should not have both Cronenworth and Machado back-toback in the lineup. Why not move both of them to the bottom of the lineup.
Hays should not have replaced Song.
Next up the Twins.

Game 1 Buehler gave up 2 runs.
Game 2 Ray gave up 1 run.
Game 3 King gave up 2 runs
SP did a great job this series. Where was the run support?

Should also highlight Merrill ... going into this road trip one of the hottest hitters in MLB but went ice cold ... in the three games vs the Mets ... 1 hit in 23 AB ... 0 BB .. 12 K. Not much better vs Cleveland.
