The Padres are riding high after sweeping the Brewers. Now they hit the road to play the Guardians followed by the Mets.

If the Padres can sweep the best team in MLB, they should beat the Guardians. The Padres were fortunate to not have to face Misiorowski. But, the Dodgers will in a 4-game set against the Brewers.

Now the Padres have taken over the 2nd wild card spot. The eye will be on catching the Cubs for the 1st wild card spot and home field advantage.

NL West
Dodgers(73-48) host Brewers(74-47)
Padres(65-57) at Guardian's (59-63) 8.5 GB

Wild Card
Cubs(71-51) host Cardinals(61-60) +7
Padres(65-57) at Guardian's (59-63) +1
Dbacks(64-58) at Braves(73-48) --

Keep The Faith!
GO PADRES!

Joey Cantillo?

Looking forward to seeing how he looks. His numbers look okay?

Better than Clevinger....is that dude even still in the league???

Dodgers lose to Brewers. Padres gain 1/2 game. Now they are 8 games back.

It seems like King gives up a HR every game he pitches.

Yeah, his pitches don't have a lot of life today. They're just floating  through the hit zone and getting smacked.

As well as Williams has been pitching recently ... surprised they got to him so decisively.

I do like the fact that King keeps battling, even without good control.

He's getting tattooed again here in the 6th but he's only on 80 pitches. If he can get out of this jam at less than 85, I want to see him out for the 7th.

The extra runs by the Padres in the 7th might give Stammen the freedom to give him a few more batters (and save some arms in the pen ... although pretty rested after an off day).

Whew! Estrada was scary today ... but escaped with giving up only one run. Still a two run lead with one inning to go (Miller time?)
