San Diego Padres at Atlanta Braves: May 23-25

Just speculating but have a bullpen day has likely eliminated Reynolds and Peralta ... the probably Jacobs for relief tomorrow. All throwing more pitches than usual. If the game stays close ... Padres may have to extend another RP or two.
Cease will need to have a deep outing tomorrow.
Possible the Padres call one or two "fresh" arms for the pen ... Reynolds and Jacobs can be optioned. Morgan? Bergert?

Pitching was terrible today. But, I blame the lack of offense more. They left 10 runners on base. In 7 of the last 8 games the opponent outscored the Padres 46-10.
What Shildt should have done was instead of bringing up Campusano, he should have brought up lefty Kyle Hart, who has experience as a starter or even Bergert.
Both the Giants and Dbacks lost.
Tomorrow take the series.

You didn't miss much anyway, does anyone feel this year vibe is more like '21 and '23 than '22 and '24? I know he is suspended, but seems like Profar was way more important than we thought, first, Left Field it's a mess, Second he brings that smile that is so contagious, right now you can see the pressure piling up, nothing but straight faces, third, he has that f... It, keep fighting, not backing down attitude. I guess we will see If they can reverse course.

Had to be a position player to replace a position player (Heyward) ... at max 13 pitchers.
Now might have brought a starter IF they had known King was going to miss the start earlier ... but that call was just made this morning. Does not sound as though King's problem is all that serious and they expect him to make his next start (if not sooner). Of course, never know with the Padres disclosures.
Still would not be surprised if there were some RP change outs ... think Jacobs who has been over worked and ineffective. Need to call up another multi-inning type to come in the 6th. Bergert is a good option.

I said it often, Profar and SD need each other! He was the heart of the team

Padres option Jacob ... recall LHP Omar Cruz.
Also, Sheets is in LF ... Campusano gets to DH.
