AJ needs to find a few guys who can hit left handed pitching. It's been a weakness for years now.

Despite pitching giving up 5 runs, I put this on the lack of offense more. Campusano should not have been out there. He is 0 for 13 this season.

I guess I have the bigger issue with the start of the season “big six” who were expected to carry the offense. Few expected much out of the bottom 3. Sheets was the plus surprise but we knew the rest of the bottom order would struggle.
Tatis, Arraez, Machado, Merrill, Bogaerts, Cronenworth where are you … you are the problem.

And gotta say, Bogaerts approach there with bases loaded was quite bad.
Ferguson was visibly frustrated, just had his catcher stop play mid wind-up, had just given up a run on a ball that had he not knoocked down, was an easy out at 2B, ending the inning.
After all that, he was coming straight at Xander. And he somehow let the most hittable pitch of the AB go right by him without offering. Ends up K'ing on a horrible pitch way above the strike zone.
I guess if Xander was making league minimum, I'd let this go but at, what $25 million a year, personally I expect more. I would not be opposed if AJ attached a decent prospect to move him. I just can't watch this guy for another 8 years.

When I thought the Padres were going to lose the series, they offense comes alive to win.
Vasquez did not look good, but the BP was solid and held. Suarez earned his MLB leading 19th save.
Kudos to Manny for his HR and 2 RBI, Arraez going 2 for 4 and 1 RBI, Merrill going 2 for 3 and 1 RBI and Wade going 1 for and 2 RBI.
Bogaerts looked bad at the plate in the bases loaded situation. I hope Sheets is alright. He hit the wall hard.
On to Frisco to take care of the Giants.
