The Padres have always had a hard time beating the Phillies, but are fortunate not to have to face both Sanchez and Wheeler. On paper it looks like the Padres will have a chance in game 1 with Vasquez on the mound. However, both Luzardo and Nola are struggling. Although I am worried about Canning against the Phillies. But he is going up against Nola. So maybe that is a plus.

The Phillies Harper has always been a thorn in the Padres side and despite Schwarber's .226 avg, he leads his club with 20 HR. Marsh is the Phillies most dangerous hitter with a .320 avg.

The Padres are lacking offense, although France has done a great job offensively and defensively. Gavin Sheets leads the club with a .253 avg and 9 HR.
