The more Profar plays just LF the better he gets defensively...what a play...he might be the best Defensive LF in baseball now...

The win yesterday combined with losses by STL, PHIL, and SF adds a game to the spread over the challengers for the Wild Card.
Padres are in the 2nd WC … 3 fewer losses than STL and PHIL and 5 fewer losses than SF (lost 6 in a row). Two of them would have to pass the Padres to bump them out of the playoffs. Clock is ticking … advantage SD.

With Darvish going we should hold Detroit to a couple. Hopefully we can get to Skubal who is Detroit's best Starter by far. Detroit's BP is pretty good so it might be a low scoring game.
