Padres vs Royals May 15-17

Grisham is killing me … up twice in a row with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs … forget a hit but at least a sacrifice fly or a ground out to score a run BUT NO … two strikeouts. This against two lowly pitchers of KC.
Then Sullivan clones Nola and strikes out as did Nola earlier.
AAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bases loaded….NO outs….and we get two off a Balk and a 5 hopper up the middle misplayed by the defense.
That’s it…..no hits or anything positive by the offense.

This is absolutely incredible to watch, and I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. We've seen offensively inept teams before, but we've never seen players of this caliber failing this much for this long into a season. I cannot believe what we're seeing.
For what it's worth, the Royals have only won two series all season long. They took 2 of 3 vs the Giants and 3 of 4 vs the White Sox. They've lost every other goddamn series.

And now we’ve blown another bases loaded less than 2 outs inning.

Deja Vu all over again … Grisham strikes out with the bases loaded and less than two out … 3 RBI situations in 3 innings and 3 Ks.
Don’t even know what to say about the the wild pitch turning to an out at the plate.

Well the idea that the Padres shoud call up Severino as an alternative to the poor offense from Nola / Sullivan has been quashed.
Padres today have released Severino off the EP IL. They added a filler C who has been in the system for awhile … Quintero … who was taking up space in extended spring.
Why? No idea unless he had a May opt out date.
Maybe Preller found a journeyman catcher somewhere to replace Sullivan who can be optioned down.

Ridiculous performance……once again.
So much for the schedule difficulty being the reason.
Don’t even feel confident on the road against the Nats let alone at home against the Sox.

Finding a good “available offensive Catcher is difficult….since every team rosters at least two.
