The Royals tried their best to give us the game and we just wouldn't take it. Another goose egg with runners in scoring position and some terrible work on the bases by Engel and Odor. Odor's especially is inexcusable. With the tying run on 3rd and 2 outs there's no justification for it.

I agree 💯 seems like everyone is waiting for someone else to deliver.. in any case (see 2023 thread) I posted our starting lineup vs Braves ...7-3 Pads Win.. that was 10x worse lineup.. but we only had one Alpha Manny.. and one HOT (.350) Hosmer..

Crone and Kim were about = to where they are .. Grish was 50points worse BA wise..

But our bench Had speed and versatility with Alcantara +Azocar +++ energy with Alfaro (whose BA at the time .267 would lead our team)..

I dont like Carp/Cruz occupying 1 Bench spot..with our current guys

My bench with what we have would be 1 of the above obviously

+2 speed guys (Azocar + Eguy (due back from 60 soon- 10 to 15 days I think)

+1 backup C .fine with Sully

No Odor or Engel ..especially Engel, Odor at least hitting the ball hard.. Eguy at least would be a prospect of ours given a chance to succeed and actually caring ..

Dahl - meh

Rivas and Lopes have earned at least a shot .. Batten has reached DFA (sneak through) status to be 💯..

Totally agree with Mr. P as well. Bogaerts 100% HAS to break for the plate. Force KC to make the right, and good, play.

Team just not very fundamental at the moment. Hopefully they'll figure out soon how to play winning baseball.

It’s pretty bad when a solo HR makes you feel like you just won a playoff game….and of course the dodgers are going to win again.
