Padres vs Rockies June 17-19

PreviousPage 3 of 4Next

Well pitch game really ..by us... 5 runs at Coors is very good.. But we left man at 2nf or 2nd and 3rd in the 1st 2nd and 3rd 0runs... and in the 9th.... cant do that at Coors and win.... I might have missed an inning or 2 too...

With 2 outs and 1B open I would have walked Cron 💯... my take was more with 1 out or no outs ..

Manny Injured...looked awful..(ankle) but piut a little pressure on it while being carried out so maybe a severe sprained vs anything worse.... my heart stopped...

Guess Eguy Rosario or CJ come up... Manny to IL for (hopefully a couple weeks).. I'd bring both up and send Alcantara packing ..we going to need as much offense by committee as we can and Alcantara is a zero zero zero on that side of the ball

Ouch!

Time for Abrams!

Sounds like a plan!

At what point do we reconsider Nola's place on the roster?

Alfaro is obviously catcher #1, Campusano the future( hopefully sooner rather than later).

No free rides any more- if you're not producing, next man up. This roster is designed to win a championship NOW.

From what I saw it’s broken.

But I found this on Twitter:

“Looks like #Padres Manny Machado has a left inversion ankle sprain.

This can be very painful but fracture is unlikely. Depending on the severity it can be a multi-week absence. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him on the 10 day IL.”

This is best case scenario it sounds like.

I sure hope AJ is actively listening for ANY and ALL deals for Snell.

He's just not a fit for us. Maybe he can find his worth someplace else.

X-rays negative... Sprain ankle..hoe severe and how long ..who knows.. 10days to 2 months ..the fact that he could put some pressure on it..makes me think ice ice ice walking boot and back in 2 to 3 weeks ..

Nola has been the backup to Alfaro for about 2 weeks .. he is ok as a backup

Likely Machado is to the IL tomorrow BUT also, if the reports are right, the roster has to balance to 13/13 which would have already forced an add of a position player.

So, Could see TWO position players called up. 1) should be Abrams to take over SS with Kim to 3B … regular playing time and much better now that Rosario; 2) Maybe the time to look at Ruiz? Grisham is just not cutting it 2 1/2 months into the season and without Machado in the line-up Ruiz could add more offense than Grisham as the CF.
