Padres vs Reds Series Tred

Game 1 features the debut of Walker Lockett and a lineup of:
CF Janky
1B Hosmer
LF Pirella
3B Villanueva
2B Spangey
RF Renfroe
C Lopez
SS Galvis
P Lockett
The Reds are a terrible team but the heart of their order is dynamite. Hopefully Walker can navigate his way to a solid debut.

This, like the series with the Marlins is one that SD ABSOLUTELY must win the series. If we are truly starting the upswing, these are teams that we need to beat. Even though I hate the LAD and the Nats, those are teams that at this point I understand losing to them. IMO we are past being bottom feeders and need to show that we are learning to win games that IMO we are expected to win.

We just don’t have the pitching to beat good offenses.....and even bad teams like the Reds have offenses good enough to beat us.
Until we have a major league rotation 1-5 we can’t assume winning any series IMO.

So another series win against a team that we should be able to beat. The first game was ugly, but with a rookie starting pitcher to be expected. It was nice to see them bounce back for the last two games. Nice game for Margot on Saturday and a nice AB for Renfroe on Sunday.
Next up, a 3 game series with ATL. Every media's current rebuild darling. This should be a good measuring stick to how we are coming along in our rebuild.
