PreviousPage 3 of 3

Series Win.. 4-1 Honestand... so far... Bring on LAD.

SULLIVAN Delivers, Soto stays Hot. ..

LFGXD

* Boggarts got screwed by Soto's baserunning PTSD from the other night 😆

Lugo leads all SP (Padres) with 3.21 ERA .. Innings Pitched,  Quality Starts (4 out of 6) and Wins 3..

Sullivan 17 ABs 1 HR 4 RBIS.. only 2 SO

Nola 67 ABs 1 HR 5 RBIS

He looks really comfortable at the plate and behind it.. and no one runs on him (reputation and career 41%CS in minors career)

Sullivan definitely had a nice day at the plate. From what I've seen of him he seems to have solid bat to ball skills. He reminds me a little bit of Josh Bard offensively. I'm not sure where you're getting that 41% CS number from. Everywhere I've looked has it at 30 and he's been run on plenty. He's probably got a stronger arm than Nola, but he's definitely not feared back there. For what it's worth Nola actually did have a 40% CS rate in the minors.

Great day for Sullivan, toils away in the MiLs for years, and gets to shine for the day. Hopefully he can keep it going.

For what is worth, the SD SP are horrible at giving the C a chance to throw out runners. I dont think Bench or Pudge Rodriguez would stand a chance with the SPs for SD.

Nola has not produced since he's been here.

Happy to have him around as a 3rd catcher, back up infielder/outfield but certainly not as an every day catcher.

We have plenty of guys that can defend adequately behind the dish. Our O might not be as dynamic as we thought( how many times have we have been shut out?), I think it's time to let Sullivan, Campusano, or even Severino have a chance.
