Didn't see the game, but going to give the A's some credit. One of the best teams in AL & MLB, and Manaea is one of the best SP in league when he's on. Winning this series would be a huge feather in our cap. Frankly, losing it doesn't mean that much. 4 off the last 19 games including today vs. >.500 teams...
Didn't affect the outcome much, but I am completely sick of the Luis Patino as RP to "help" this year experiment. Time to put that one to bed; improve the pen AND save a little service time on him could lead to big $$ savings. Think it will happen soon.

Love the lineup today: L/R/L/R/L/R/L/L/S . Grisham back up top, Hos 3rd, Machado 4th. GO PADRES!!

Hopefully Moreland gets on track in the SD uniform ... .167 BA so far. Think the Padres may want to make sure he is in the line-up a lot in the next few weeks to get him in his groove.

I don't have a lot of history with Moreland's swing, but he seems to be pulling off the plate early which has led to weak grounders and lack of hard contact. Needs to not try to do too much and just swing easily and hard.

Well with a wrist injury Campusano back to the alternate site and Taylor Williams called up. Another bullpen arm that came over in the Seattle deal.
Back to 12 position players and 16 pitchers?

Could be a case of trying to do "too much" to help/prove to the new team he was worth the trade. I can see him coming around soon. Much of the same as what I think that happened with Machado last season, the typical prove Im worth the large contract season.
Not overly concerned at this time.

OAK OF grass, has to be some of the worst in baseball. I seen Myers slimp 3 times. Now Profar, and the OAK CFer. Uggh.

Observed the same. Clearly not from the rains.
Is the field sitting on swamp land? Different grass now that the Raiders are gone?
