Padres vs. Oakland

Looks like Manaea has been successfully lately by limiting his walks and hard contact. He can be hit, however, so we'll see how the Padres approach his offerings. Need a good follow-up game from Paddack to further solidify his confidence in his stuff - no nibbling, just go after them! Don't think the A's run much, so Campy should be good behind the plate; also, Hedges was the personal catcher of Paddack, so we'll see how he adjusts to someone new. Go Padres - first game of the day in MLB!

Would guess they would push him up with 5-10 games to play so he can get some in-game ABs and really test hand and get his timing.

Is that where Campusano got HBP yesterday? Wondered why he wasn't in there... Mateo did come from the A's, so at least he's "seen" Manaea... the last 3 Spring Trainings. Seriously, it could be a low scoring game; would be nice to see him get on base once/twice & use that speed!

I think he was hit in the leg but I did see him shaking his had during yesterday's game ... maybe on a slide?

Paddack is back to missing his spots and leaking over the plate. He is pitching himself to #4.

Yeah, Chris is pushing himself to the pen for the playoffs. Or possibly even further?

Maybe 3 more starts for Paddack and Richards for one to clearly go to #4 SP.
If close, Richards may get the nod with more experience and a wider repertoire. Paddack's two pitches may play better in a short spurt in the pen.

The two errors by our right fielder didn’t help matters.
Not sure how they only counted him for one?
Two runners who would have stopped at 3rd scored without a play due to misplayed balls by Myers.
