This again is a team that Melvin needs to make sure SD doesnt over look. MIA is a .500 team in a bad division, and have lost 4 straight, including 3 straight to AZ, who we took 3 of 4 from to start the season.

IMO, a series split with MIA will be a disappointment, especially after choking one away from CLE yesterday in game 2 of the DH.

This is how you keep up with LAD/SF, by beating up on weaker teams.

The Marlins are sneaky good. They won 7 straight before the losing streak. Their starting pitching is really good and Jazz is a stud. It should be a fun series. I'll be at the game tonight. I'm 2-0 on my trips to Petco so far. Hopefully they keep it going for me.

Jazz is “my guy” so I’m really looking forward to this series…and yes,the Marlins are sneaky good.

The way our offense has been and their pitching has been….I’d be ecstatic if we can win 3 of 4 and not entirely demoralized if we split.

Jazz is one of my favorite players outside of the Padres. The game needs young fun players like him.

Very good performance by Martinez. His FB was a bit better than I expected (hit 93-94) and his change (and his use of it) was a key.

For a bottom of the rotation arm he his an excellent component even his stuff only beats lesser hitting teams … but if lucky, maybe more.

======

Rodgers in for another save … he is getting really worked and hope he does not burn out. Padres need a couple of blowout wins (talking to you offense) or have another RP they can trust for the 9th in a close game.

Looking as though the deal for Rogers is a big win from Preller.

Question for you all....What is a change that the new pitching coach has brought with him from Cleveland ?.........if you have been watching you should get this....I've been watching and I am loving it

I'll be at Petco Saturday. I was there for the win vs the Dodgers as well. Hopefully, I make it 2-0.

We've had opportunities to give Rogers a rest but the pen makes it a game.

One thing I've noticed is the pace. These guys get the ball back and throw. No jacking around between pitches.
