He threw to home and missed Mejia, the throw went to the backstop

Sounds as if we could have gotten out of the inning with the lead?
I for one have NOT been impressed with Hosmer's D since he's been here. He'll have to continue hitting to stay. Being a clubhouse leader and defensive specialist are well and good but you BEST be elite. He's not.

Watching the Padres is great because the blood gets pumping one way or the other and as long as I don't spring a leak or blow a seal I expect to be rooting on my Padres for another 15 to 20 years 🙂
Tonight the blood was pumping when Renfroe did his thing again and Yates showed why he is an All Star this year
Lauer did what he always does....in , out, up and down...the guy is an effective "Thumber" that has just enough fastball to be sneaky. I love the fact that he doesn't seem to get rattled and he just has the same pulse rate all the time
Very Stoked to have a win tonight
Go Pads !!!!!

Quote from WindsorUK on July 5, 2019, 10:38 pmNice to see Yates being productive over multiple innings. Seems to be a REAL pitcher- not some one trick specialist.
Renfroe is just a no brain keeper! He needs to be in the lineup EVERYDAY AG!
All the Renfroe trade talks must cease!

Did the Dr.'s give you a positive outlook? Decent timetable for recovery?
Probably made you change your diet right?

Quote from MrPadre19 on July 6, 2019, 7:09 amThe only thing that could have been better than beating the Dodgers last night would have been to hand Kershaw his first Padre loss.
The last couple years he hasn’t dominated us...but he keeps escaping without the L.

Quote from 84padres on July 6, 2019, 8:48 amI was really impressed by Renfroe's defense last night. Nice catch on line drive in LF and a real nice running catch in the RF corner that would have been a lot of trouble and Franmil would have had no chance. At least a double or maybe a triple, it would have changed the whole game. Too many throwing errors by the rest of the team trying to make a great play instead of getting an out that we need to stop a big inning.
