Padres vs Dodgers

Just thought I would mix it up a bit and put up a series thread
The Dodgers are the best team in baseball right now so this should be an interesting series for the Padres for nothing else to prove they can play with the leaders in the NL West going into the All Star Break
I know we all have our own opinions about this team, players and Manager so please feel free to share your thoughts on the upcoming set of games with the Dodgers.......besides I am bored to death as I recover from a quadruple bypass surgery and the Padres are the one thing I look forward to every day....win or lose

This is going to be a brutal series for SD, and we are going to see just how far we need to go to get to where we want to be. Not saying that the Pads cant close the gap soon with some players being a year better and a smart add or two.

As for the Dodgers.......only in Hollywood, man! 5 straight walk offs.......3 by rookies hitting HR's, one coming from 4( yes 4!) straight walks with 2 out and 2 strikes in the 9th. That kind of luck is 100% unsustainable.
I mentioned it in another thread, but I've got to question how the Duds are able to make SO MANY castoffs into productive players? Have they found the new versions of cream and clear ( that idiot Barry Bonds magical all natural elixir)?
Our offense will have to show up this weekend BIG TIME! I don't trust our pen to hold any leads so the bats will have to be awake.
The biggest concern is AG. Don't try to overghink this- put your best 9 out there( read: big guns in the outfield and Mejia behind the plate) Wil Meyers can win us the series ( if he's on) Margot can not. Swing for the fences Andy!

Reyes needs to be in the American League as a DH.....BIG strong guy that can hit with power but his defense is terrible. The last time I saw a Padre play the outfield so bad was Carmelo Martinez....Ouch

What happened on Muncy's groundball? What did Hosmer do with it that allowed the run to score and no outs on the bases?
