At least we are "driving" a Ferrari now that Gary Sanchez brought the 🔑 Key..

2 for 12 with RISP last night?

Thank goodness we have FTJ. Never seen( nor has anyone in the history of MLB!) a group SO uptight with RISP.

I know Seidler is spending huge dollars to see these guys rake but until we get a hint of that, I'm quite content playing small ball( outright steals, hit and run, run and hit, hitting behind runners, bunting, etc.). Breaking this back down to Fundamental Baseball 101 might just be what this group needs.

So far Melvin has done nothing to impress me with his in game management ( actually looks a great deal like Green and Tingler) Makes me think AJ and his minions are making the day to day calls? If this year fails before the post season, I want to see AJ out, not BoMel( Bob has had too much success in the league over a long period of time for this to be all on him)

Sanchez is OUR SAVIOR... Best start by YU this season.. The SP has been elite with Gary at the receiving end... Dude is the best C we've had in a decade plus.. receiving/framing run control on a whole different level (vs Nola/Campy and Phillips) Gary going to be a great influence on Campy.. almost feel like we should try to extend him (on the cheap) soon.. 5/25 type deal..4/20?

Dude, its been like 4 games......stop! This is nonsense, he is NOT the best C SD has had in decade!

There is a reason he hasnt been able to catch on with a team since the NYY. He is a horrible defensive catcher for years, and his bat has been down for the last 2.5 years.

Waited all day for 5:30.

It’s now 6:05 and I’m mad as hell

I really need a life outside of the Padres.

Really thought my 50+ years of fandom was going to be rewarded this year.

Worse than when we knew we would suck.

Just turned it off……and I never turn it off.

Talk to you tomorrow

They put up a graphic for the pieces the Cubs might sell at the deadline. We're now only a half game ahead of them.

I guess the best way to watch them is every other day . Especially after a good game , almost a guarantee that they will score 1 run .

Going to be a tough game for the offense today with the Cubs going with Hendricks. Just back from the IL (2 starts) but those starts were strong against very good teams (NYM and TB). ERA at 3.86 even with some of the peripheral stats less commanding … but as a veteran worked through that to limit runs.

Are we relying on Snell to win this game for us? … clearly not relying on the offense.

After that HR by Sanchez I didn’t even see Wally Pipp….errr,I mean,Austin Nola even in the dugout?

😉
