Padres vs Braves Series Thread

Page 1 of 3Next

So here we are coming out of the All Star Break sitting at .500 (45-45) and the Braves (54-37) coming into town for a 3 game series

Lamet vs Keuchel on the mound tonight

This should be a fun series to watch.....do the Padres get off to a fast 2nd half ?

Do the Braves put some distance between them and the Nationals and Phillies ?

Does Tatis and Renfroe pick up where they left off ?

Go Pads !!!!

A couple good points from tonights game

1.- Lamet looks healthy wich is the important thing right now.

2.- The offense wasnt all that bad, Keuchel made the pitches when needed.

3.- Muñoz was a little nervous, maybe not hitting his spots completely but his stuff looked as good as advertised.

I hope we can take one of the next two, because that Braves team really know how to hit.

We need the win today......it only gets tougher with Soroka vs. Quantill tomorrow.

Somebody PLEASE throw inside on Donaldson or at least quit throwing him strikes early!

Geez!!

Tie game.....one out...hit and run with two strikes...and Renfroe doesn’t swing on a ball right down the middle?

WTH?

I absolutely hate when in a big situation the hitter takes a first pitch fastball right down the middle.

Even a rookie like Tatis.

The hitter should be sitting on that exact pitch and only take anything that “isn’t” a fastball right down the middle!

Correct me if I am wrong, but, I dont remember having this bad of a bullpen in the Petco Park era

Our Bullpen just isn’t good enough.

Perdomo should never pitch in high leverage situations.

Pretty sure his decent numbers have all come in games with multi run differentials.

Makes trading Yates all the more scary......

I was thinking the exact same thing, without Yates the season would turn into a disaster, and maybe next season too, because we dont have anyone ready to fill that role, every time we have gone from one closer to another since Trevor is because we have somebody ready to do that, now we dont

I put this one on Andy Green.....just terrible decisions with his bullpen and nobody to come off the bench
