It's frustrating. Baseball 101. They're not even fundamentally sound. Just a really bad approach.
One can only hope that BoMel can figure out what the hell he has and then has the cache to implement it.
You're so right Mr. P. This is not entertaining.

I want to see a sacrifice bunt the next time we lead off the inning with a double.
We're losing by a run or 2 here and there, seemingly everyday. If we had sacrifice bunted both times today, it'd be a tie game.
When you can't hit with RISP( worst in MLB, right?), you bunt.

Good thing we took Weathers out!
We just can’t do anything right these days.
Every move Melvin makes backfires.
Every homerun is solo and every hit turns into nothing.
Good pitching performances still lead to a loss.

Weathers pitched a good game ... one bad pitch to Betts then unfortunately got tagged with two ER when Honeywell came in and gave up the hit. Weathers is making the case he stays up .... especially as Lugo nears the innings total that should send him to the pen. In turn, it allows the Padres to keep Martinez in the pen.
I was high on Honeywell ... and he had a good April but some slippage in May and may be at risk at some point. No MiL options so a DFA will not be an easy call given his stuff (and not great options in AAA ... now).

Can we IL him 60 day after so many IP.. say 30.. dude hasn't pitched much in yrs
Also Cosgrove hasn't allowed a run all season AAA + MLB... maybe we have another Wilson like BP arm from the left side this time
We really miss Suarez so far... Lugo to the BP would help a lot... Hader/Martinez/Lugo/Wilson gives us a great 7 8 9 ... mix and match BP
Garcia can work his way back into the mix
Hill can be the 6 th inning guy.. get one out or 2 out of a jam type he was 2nd half last season..
Last guy in BP Cosgrove ..Honeywell to 60IL arm fatigue or whatever.. maybe the 15 IL 1st in case we need him
Kerr has looked great lately.. and Castillo is working his way back.. but these 2 are lefties as well which makes us too lefty heavy...
