Page 1 of 3Next

Game 1 Friday April 12th 7:10 pm PDT

SD Michael King vs LAD Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Game 2 Saturday April 13th 6:10 pm PDT

SD Matt Waldron vs LAD Gavin Stone

Game 3 Sunday April 14th 4:10 pm PDT

SD Yu Darvish vs LAD James Paxton

I would like to see a series win this weekend

King vs Yamamoto could be a good one…can King follow up on his last start ?

Waldron vs Stone…get some funky stuff after high velocity from King

Darvish vs Paxton…can Yu stifle the Dodger  bats ?

all

All of these matchups depend on the boys putting the ball in play and take advantage of getting guys on base and cashing them in…duh

Go Padres ⚾️ !!!

Avila DFAd with Morejon coming up.

Avila DFAd with Morejon coming up.

Morejon has been sharp in EP … one inning stints.

DFA Avila will open a 40 man roster slot … a precursor to another move with a non-roster add?

Morejon makes it 4 LHRP … all 1-2 inning types while dropping the RH Avila takes out a multi-inning option. Looks like Brito and Kolek survived this round.

It’s after 1 am Padres….lets go!

Gotta love Jackson Merrill’s approach at the plate…sitting dead red and took if the other was …. 5.5 hole…tough pitch but perfect swing

Padres win in extra innings 8-7

While Tatis,Merrill,Suarez and others deserve credit in these two big comeback wins it was Cronenworth both times that hit the HR that sparked both.

Resting Bogaerts and Campy for the second game of the series.  Gives Shildt a chance to see Merrill at the lead-off spot but not a whole lot of offense with Higashioka and Eguy at the bottom of the line-up.  Padres typically lose the next game after a great comeback the night before so maybe this one was going to go that way anyway.   Good luck Waldron!

Higashioka needs to put together a game of good AB's. Outside the HR, he's looked horrible.

If he doesn't, expect to see Sullivan get more time.

This team is all about producing. If you don't, one way tickets out of town are plentiful this season.
