Francisco Mejía and Luis Perdomo have been optioned to the team's USD site in the corresponding moves for Luis Patiño and Eric Hosmer.
==========
bit surprised it is Perdomo (been pitching well over the past few weeks) instead of Lucchesi.
being less than 19 days (I think) ... does not burn Mejia's final minor league option.

I think you're confusing Perdomo with someone else?

He's only pitched 1 time in last 3 weeks and it did not go well ...

Right, no idea what I was thinking.

Lucchesi probably goes when the activate Strahm. LHP for LHP.

Patino is just not ready. His command is terrible.

His slider is also down 4 mph from normal. He is just off right now. He is going to need more time in the minors next year.

Basic rule of thumb for Manny...if you’re thinking of trying to take a base when you don’t have too......don’t.

This might sound strange but of all the players traded at the deadline I will miss France the most. He doesn't have the most upside but I think he will be a solid major leaguer.

Bad base running, sloppy pitching, and lazy catching by Nola. This is not what championship baseball looks like. This is what knocked out in the first round looks like.

Should have been an easy win with Clevinger on the mound, now, lucky to come back and win.

Agree ... remember he still is only 20 and only pitched 7.2 innings in AA in 2019. A lot of development is still needed but the stuff is there. Not sure why the Padres even added him to the roster in 2020 except for the fact that the love to challenge their better prospects to accelerate the development cycle. Has not hurt the season ... so maybe a good thing for the long run.
