The way he hits and plays, half of last years Padres should get the same eye condition.

Quote from MrPadre19 on December 7, 2019, 10:01 amWell obviously I mean over the “next”two seasons.
But I agree....he is top 5 in MLB I believe at not swinging at balls off the plate.
Must be seeing the ball well “right now”.

Quote from BoosterSD on December 7, 2019, 6:47 pmWas reading an article on the Brewers and it had a link to a Fangraphs page that basically lists every teams positions (by WAR) 1st to worst. Here is how SD ranked at each position.
Catcher - #17.
1B - #21.
2B - #16.
SS - #10.
3B - #6.
LF - #4 includes Pham
CF - #25 includes Grisham, Margot, and Cordero
RF - #19 includes Myers, Grisham, and Cordero
SP - #10 - includes Davies
RP - #3 includes Pomeranz
So according to Fangraphs our biggest areas to improve in order are CF, 1B, RF, C, and then 2B. Our LF, SP, SS, and RP are top ten at this time.

Quote from MrPadre19 on December 7, 2019, 7:43 pmCatcher will be higher with Hedges getting less AB’s.
CF will be higher with Margot/Grisham platooning.
I’m thinking we may see Myers at 1B some against tough lefties which could help.
2b can only improve from the s*** show last year.
Assuming no more changes that is...

Yep, behind Astros, As, Indians, Rockies, and Red Sox. You can check out all the positions here.

Quote from JasonE135 on December 8, 2019, 1:13 amAway from home Manny Machado hit .289/.369/.882 this year. If he didn’t play in Petco it looks like he would be #2.

Grisham/Margot platoon should solve CF ..at least put it 10 spots higher..
RF is coming
C will be Contreras the smoke starting to be felt soon the fire will follow
1B it is what it is and ownership is fine with it
Back to 2B vs SP.. I think Pads have way too many 2B types to make a 2B signing for the sake of one.. If Altuve/McNeil or Whit is the get then Hell yeah .. But if is Starling Castro then I rather go with what we have... SP same. A TOR or save our pennies for July "DeGroom" especially if Mets out of contention and we in it..
