No to Bradley ... not going $11MM for a platoon CF on a one year deal .... have to think that $11MM can be used more beneficially on higher value / longer term adds.

In a platoon with Margot .... Bradley would have to play about 75% of the time but age may be catching up with him ... on a dWAR basis in 2019 his dWAR was 1.3 while Margot was at 7.5 (9th best of CF > 400 PA).

I would go with the gamble on a Margot / Akiyama CF ... not only lower cost by $8MM but Akiyama would come with multi-year control and 2021 is going to have a similar need.

Unless Hernandez is view by the Padres scouts as a hidden gem .... not liking this idea. 4 years of a developing SP who already is hitting a 1.6 WAR in a league where pitching is at a premium should yield a much better return.

One to think about is Givens ... off year in 2019 but upside RP/Closer. 2 years control at $3-4MM in 2020. With Stammen gone he could provide some veteran support for Yates at the back end allowing more time for Munoz, Bednar, et al to evolve into that role. Plus, if Yates is not extended, he has some closer protection for 2021. Plus, Plus, with the high need for closers / RP at the trade deadline ... either he (or Yates) may become highly sought after trade chips or free up others in trades.

Mancini + Villar and their closer (name eludes me).. For Myers + Urias + Ornelas + Arias + Morejon + Reed and France

I think with Edwards + CJ both of whom I want to keep on either side of Arias in the system.. Arias odd man out and he has the best power/Speed/Defense combo of the 3.. But yeah this move makes both clubs hit some of their goals for 2020.. And opens up about $8 mil in $$ for Padres as well..

Lucchesi is way more valuable than Givens Brosky.. He is what top 10-15 best lefty SP in the MLB.. Come on now
