Three outs away from taking game 2 and the Pads will not have to face the big 4: Ohtani, Betts, Freeman or T. Hernandez, at the top of the 9th.

But, right now, the Padres need insurance runs.

PADRES BEAT L.A.!  and lead the series 2-1.

King was solid except for the 4th inning and the BP was big time solid.

This game kept me on the edge of my seat.

Tomorrow, clinch time.

GO PADRES!

Tomorrow, Cease is on the mound. I hope it is the good Cease. He does pitch a little better at Petco.

If we finish off the Dodgers and the Mets finish off the Phillies we host the NLCS. Cease gets a chance to redeem himself and finish it at home. Just an unbelievable season.

I want to give props to Profar, who made a real effort in another Betts HR robbery. The ball was just barely out of reach barely touching his glove. I'd say another inch and he would have had it. Before he signed this season we all thought he was just another mediocre player, but he stepped it up and made a huge difference this season and post season.

According to an interview with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, game 4 will be a BP game.

Please just let me have electricity until at least midnight tonight......

My guess is Cease opens and goes one time thru which hopefully will be 3 innings....:)

If we continue to score early I would suspect Perez for an inning or two and then Hoeing

I would guess he will be on a short leash. With Hoeing and Morejon rested that would seem to be the play.
