I can’t believe that I feel about as bad about how the season ended than any season in the last 30 years…losing to the Dodgers just flat out sucks but rather than give a post mortem, I would rather smile and think about what a great season it was…Jackson Merrill was awesome and I loved his energy and attitude throughout the season, Kyle Higasioga was such a pleasant surprise as a throw in for the Soto trade…Michael King has established himself as a TOR pitcher, AJ flipped Thorpe for Cease and got Miami to pay the contract of Luis Arraze, Jurickson Profar had as good of a season as anyone in MLB, the bullpen was nails for the most part and Robert Suarez proved he is a legit closer and I can go on and on with plenty of questions going into the offseason but there is plenty of time for that.
I just wanted to say Thank You to our Padres from AJ to Mike Shildt to all the players and fans that made going to Petco a truly amazing experience and my grandson is now a “Hooked” Padres fan forever and lastly I want to say “Thank You” to all of you here on Mad Friars for all of the great commentary, stats, analysis and humor…I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in what this website has to offer.

Spring Training will be here before you know it and then we get to do this all over again…Y’all have a great holiday season in between all of the Padres offseason activities…trades, arbitration, contracts etc
