What I loved about yesterday's game was the Padres, as a team, really hustling down the first base line on all infield grounders. When you see Manny and then the kid busting their butts to get infield hits, you have to be proud of your team and how dedicated they are to winning as a team. This team has the vibe, this team has the heart, this team needs to be rewarded for the way they play the game right every night. Go Padres!

This game is a lot like Thursdays.
Hitting everything right at someone….and a great catch by Winker robbing Merrill.
King got squeezed in the 1st then victimized by Lindor….just not our night.
At least so far….”only” the 7th.
With this team anything can happen.😉

Padres lost dropping to 1.5 games behind the Dbacks won. Dodgers still playing.
Padres need to find a way to hit these pitchers. Padres need to come away with a split tomorrow.

Yes, that was a play Manny makes 98 times out of 100. Tough luck loss for King last night, not only Manny's error, but Alonso's ball bouncing away from Manny after hitting the 3rd base bag on a shattered bat that fell all the way out to shallow LF. Lindor is on a heater though. Need to pitch around him on Sunday. Go Pads!

MERRILL!!!!!!!!!!!
Last winter who would have thought Profar ($2.5MM) and Merrill ($740K) would even be on the team let alone be the two season long keys to winning.
