PADRES WIN!
Profar keeps the Pads in it and MERRILL DOES IT AGAIN WITH A WALK OF HR!
Pitching was solid. Perez struggling a bit, but gave up only 1 run.
I was hoping for the Padres to take 3 out of 4, but at least they got a split and loss no ground to the Dbacks and Dodgers who both won and both have a day off Monday when the Padres play the Cardinals.
GO PADRES!

I may be wrong, but I think that before this season, Profar was always a 4th outfielder. But, this season, he is a starter. I wonder if that makes a difference.
I said this before and I will say it again, where would the Padres be if they still had Grisham, who is batting .185 avg, instead of Merrill?

Happy flight to St. Lou after the late game heroics of Profar & Merrill! Luv the Cardiac Pads!
4 at the Cards then 3 at the Rays. The good guys are 10 games into the strecth of 18 straight games and are 5-5. Need a really good road trip.
And yes, Merrill madness is a huge upgrade over Grisham and I have not noticed a drop off in defense either, amazing job by Jackson as a rookie and former SS playing CF for the first season in his career. Go Pads!

I do think a split is great, knowing that this series the baseball Gods weren't on our side most of the time, there were a lot of plays that went the Mets way, even Profar's HR barely got out, Manny hit a couple today that in any other day go out. I am glad I was at the ballpark this afternoon. Go Pads!
