Saw on Twitter that Eguy Rosario is back in action in extended spring training.

Yup.. hit a Bomb too in game action

Campusano had surgery on his thumb and is expected to be out for 2 more months now. This team seems to make a habit of underreporting injuries.

Feel sorry for Campusano given he was at the cusp of securing a regular catching role with the Padres … especially given the plight of Nola. No injury is good but this one is really unfortunate timing.

8 weeks .. won't be back til after the Deadline.. and obviously if he had some trade value.. the medical ?s make him have 0 value.. time for IL 60.. and Severino to 40

Heard a report that Morejon may be go to a rehab assignment soon ... Rosario apparently is in Peoria getting back into shape and could also be in a rehab soon. Both are on the 60 day IL so maybe in a month the Padres will need 40 man slots for them (already have one from Engel). I guess they could add Campusano within that timeframe to avoid any DFA.

Anyone heard anything on Cole Hamels?

As usual the Padres are keeping this close to their vests. So, zip recently on Hamels.

Last I recall (some time back) they were “easing” him back in AZ with a target of ‘mid-season” availability. Likely a series of rehab appearances once “ready” with a minor league affiliate. So unless he did not progress (or got injured) during his extended spring we might see him appear in a ACL game next month then ?

Eguy Rosario (60 day IL) begins his rehab in EP today ... so in 20 days Padres will have to make another 40 man roster move.

I still have high…..well, semi-high hopes for Eguy.

Time for our monthly where is Cole Hamels' question?

Given what was said during the spring ... estimating a June return ... getting zero word on his even working out let  alone as many expect a rehab siting in an ACL game ... does not seem good for a return of Hamels.
