Injury Updates

PreviousPage 28 of 35Next

Yeah Yes Yeah Yes Let's Go!

Heading to San Antonio

Anyone else worried about Soto’s back injury keeping him out day to day?

Backs can be tricky (reoccurring) issues … and linger … and impinge the swing.

Padres got Soto to be impact down the stretch … if he is in/out of the line-up or out an extended period … that will be a problem with Myers as the replacement.

He has never had back issues before.. so is also new to him.. if he can't go today... they need to IL him retro to Monday.. puts him back for LAD .. call up Campusano or make a 40 roster move for Beaty and charge foward... I am in freak out mode since our lineup hasn't even been announced yet...

Not in the lineup... and Boy waht a lineup

Kim/Profar/Machado 1 2 3..

Campusano and Eguy in KC ... OH DOCTOR!

23 years old and a back issue … maybe nothing in the long run OR ??????

Just something to worry about and not just brush off.

No player or injury is the same but Cody Bellinger had shoulder surgery to repair repetitive dislocations that occurred during the 2020 season as he dove for balls at 1B (and did an ill advised high 5).

In 2019 (before the dislocations) he had a slash line of 305/406/629 in 558 AB and considered a “super star”

After surgery:

2021: 165/240/302 (315 AB)

2022: 208/266/404 (403 AB)

Not a perfect parceled by might put some caution around how well Tatis rebounds. Bellinger had surgery on this non-throwing shoulder as a LHH …. Tatis is having surgery on his non-throwing shoulder as a RHH. Both lead shoulders while hitting … just something more to worry about.

Riding a Camel can’t be good for your back if you aren’t used to it.

😉

Did everyone see the pics of Juan riding the Camel at Petco the day before his back starting hurting?
