1. said it "doesn't look good" for Beaty ... a decision may be made tonight. The implication was clear that we should see an IL move and a roster move.
2. indicated that Voit is here working with the coaches and the implication was that he may be activated sooner that I expected after his EP disaster.

So just to speculate ... but might see some interrelated moves with Beaty to the IL. To avoid (in the short run) a 40 man DFA call up Campusano or Rosario. Then for the road trip on Thursday, activate Voit and add Mazara ... send out Campusano/Rosario (whoever was added) and DFA Thompson. Buys time to see where they stand with Voit.

Net for the road trip ... plus Voit and Mazara ... minus Beaty and Thompson?

Saving the best for last was RHP Dinelson Lamet.  The former Cy Young finalist looked like he was toying with his food.  Lamet faced four batters.  After striking out the first on three pitches, he gave up a first-pitch single to center.  Then proceeded to strike the next two out on three pitches each.  10 pitches, three strikeouts, and a hit.  The radar gun wasn’t the issue with Lamet as much as it was finding location and fixing his unbelievably dominant slider.

Perhaps one of the biggest “helium” risers in minor league baseball, the 19-year-old is working back from a wrist injury that has sidelined him twice already this season. Given continued good health, he should rejoin the Lake Elsinore roster quickly.

I forget how Kellen Kullbacki hurt his but that guy could hit up until then…….same with Blanks.
