Injury Updates
Quote from LynchMob on April 19, 2022, 8:29 amMadFriars@madfriarsReggie Lawson has been activated from the IL and is joining the Missions for their series in Amarillo. The big righty is now two years past TJS and back from the shoulder issue that derailed his return last summer. He's always shown very good stuff when healthy.

There aren’t a ton of injuries on the Padres' Top 30 Prospects list. Lefties Ethan Elliott and Jagger Haynes will begin the season rehabbing rather than joining full-season affiliates. Haynes, a fifth-round pick from the 2020 Draft, has yet to make his pro debut as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, and although he needs a bit more time before he’s ready to join an affiliate, he is expected to pitch this season.
Didn't someone here say that Elliott retired?
And is this the latest/greatest on Jagger Haynes?

Quote from Randy Manese on April 20, 2022, 3:33 pmI read where Elliott retired but if he has had a change of mind, then that would be great. Lawson coming off the injury list for his first start in Amarillo - tough place to pitch with the Sod Poodles scoring 19 runs yesterday and the Missions 10. I'll be watching closely on MiLB to see what kind of stuff he still has irrespective of the playing conditions.

Note: Baseball America’s Kyle Glaser reported that Storm outfielder James Wood is dealing with a hand injury before the contest, but noted that his absence is likely precautionary at this point. Per a Padres official, Wood should return “sooner than later” to the Lake Elsinore lineup.

This gives James Wood an extra night of recovery, as he’s expected to return from a hand injury any day now.
